The Vernal, Utah
Family History Center is a branch facility of the Family History
Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. Centers provide access to "most" of
the microfilms and microfiche available in the Family History Library.
Jack and Mildred Seitz are the Directors of the Vernal Family History Center, and invite all
residents of the Uintah Basin and it's surrounding areas to utilize
its free services to research your family history. Assistant
Directors are Jim and Beverly
Shewell.
No matter what your
religious affiliation, we are pleased to help you in your research.
It is a common misconception that the records we hold are only of
those who are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. Indeed, if there is any record worthy of preservation, it
is our goal to preserve it, as well as make it available to the
public.
Our staff of
volunteers are always at hand to help you learn how to do basic
genealogy, as well as to help seasoned genealogists who may just be
"stumped" and need new resources.

room with computers linked to high-speed
Internet.

Computer Classroom
available for training classes with computers linked to high speed
Internet. This room is available for reservations by contacting Mildred
Seitz.

Microfilm-Microfiche Digital Scanner, Computer, Printer system capable
of burning data to CD's or saving images on jump drives, etc.

5 1/4" Floppy
Drive for reading old computer disks!

1538-1760 for England and Wales (not even available at the Salt Lake
Family History Library).
School classes,
scouts, church classes, community groups, etc., are all welcome to use
our facilities. Please schedule all group activities with Mildred
Seitz.
