www.uintah.lib.ut.us/   With your library card you can access Heritage Quest which has Census records, and a large library of digitalized books that can be searched on line.  The books can be searched by surname or place and then surname.

 

PERSI The Periodical Source Index, or PERSI, is the largest subject index to genealogical and historical periodical articles in the world. Created by the foundation and department staff of the Historical Genealogy Department of the library here in Fort Wayne, Indiana, PERSI is widely recognized as being a vital source for genealogical researchers.

PERSI is a comprehensive subject index covering genealogy and local history periodicals written in English and French (Canada) since 1800. The time period of the articles ranges from the 1700s to the present. More than 1.8 million index entries from nearly ten thousand titles are represented by this work.

The Library of Congress is beginning a program to digitalize their book collection. This site is worth revisiting often to see what is happening.

 

http://www.statearchivists.org/statearchivists.htm  State archives which can have great information in their genealogy dept. Check out the state archives where you have had ancestors live.  Some states have great information and some are still working on a genealogy department.
